Mert csirkékkel pózolni mindig menő, minden képet feljavítanak, kedvessé, vidámmá varázsolnak. Úgy látszik ez a tehetséges tervező is így gondolta.

We recently had a pretty severe flood here, which could have ended up in catastrophe had the water risen a meter higher. But thankfully it didn't, and our beautiful city was preserved of any true destruction. The environs of the city were not so lucky, however, just like many small villages and the houses in them. I'm not sure where this picture was taken, but it is nice to see that some people cared about the welfare of our feathered friends. The flood is drawing back now. Hopefully we have learned new lessons to protect ourselves in the future. 

I am not a huge fan of feet. I love summer, but I hate looking at people's feet in their sandals, flip-flops, etc. Especially because most people are not very aesthetic about it, meaning their choice of footwear or the care of their feet. 

But chicken feet are another thing. Chicken feet are adorable. The way they move their toes when they walk, when they scratch, or if they just are. I admit to having eaten chicken feet in my life, more than once, but for some reason, unless you are a gourmet or very poor, I think that by the time you grow up, eating chicken feet loses its initial flair. I know of few adults who are happy to find a chicken foot (or head, God forbid!) floating around in a bowl of soup. Which is strange because children, who are notoriously finicky eaters gladly eat chicken feet and necks and so on. At least the children I encountered (this is Central Europe). But let's steer away from gastronomy an concentrate of the beauty of chicken's feet. Here are a few I have selected.

So there was a lollipop/tootsie roll which everyone loved. And there was this commercial in the 80s, I remember it very clearly, which they made about it. These tootsie pops were great. They tasted amazing. For anyone whose childhood lacked a tootsie pop or a tootsie roll, I feel deeply sorry for you. 

I found a picture on 9gag yesterday. I don't think anyone on 9gag knows what's going on (because of the age and country factor) but all the same... I thought it was hilarious.

sometimes even chickens need a little bubble bath. this one had an egg problem, so she got a bath. I don't know if baths are supposed to help eggs loosen up or what, but she seems to be enjoying this bath. or is at least stunned about it. I like the way her feathers look in the water. 

To all those who have been looking at my blog despite the more than month-long hiatus, thank you. I am very happy that you are still here and still checking for content. I am up to my invisible chicken-ears in things to do, so it's been hard to write or even to take a moment to put a picture up. So I'll try to turn a new leaf, or half a leaf, at least, by saying>

Happy second birthday to the blog. It has been up and running for more than 2 years, Easter always marking the date, though the actual date is April 24. So kind of happy birthday. Easter came early this year. 

So, okay, yes, these are ducks and not chickens, but still, today they are honorary chickens, emblems of my two year-old blog and climbing towards my third year. 

Dear Readers, please stay with me and let's love those fluffy little things together, whether they are chickens, ducks, pigeons, owls, Angry Birds, or whatever winged creatures! 

Today is Valentine's Day and it's all about LOVE. And I really love chickens. So this is yet another reason to be happy today.

So ear tunnels... I'm not sure if they're sexy, ugly, weird, pointless, fun, interesting, or what... I think that if they're not too wide, they might suit certain people. As for example this guy. This tunnel is too big IMHO, but it's still attractive why? You know the answer.

This is an adorable Frizzle chicken. Talk about pet chicken! It's the size of a canary! WANT! I'm not sure I would handle mealworms like this, but who knows?! I'd do it for a chicken. Anyhow, this bird is adorable. (from ChickenJunkie on FB)

Elég ritkán szoktam kacsákról képeket feltenni, habár a kacsa is csirke, de valahogy a távolabbi végén a csirke-spektrumnak. Most viszont kaptam Kozák Tibor barátomtól egy igazán szép kacsás képet, megérdemli a Nap Szépe címet. Fogadjátok szeretettel:
