How many times have I told you that chickens are dinosaurs. And you laugh, though you know it's true. Okay, they're not a T.Rex, but still. They are really the mightiest creatures on earth, and yet they have come to this... *sigh*
BUT! This new species of dino, one of the smallest, clearly shows what I have always known. I am chicken, hear me roar!!!! (esp. if I am mad as a wet hen)

I stand in random places at random times and wonder: what could "my" chix be doing now? Ursula sometimes posts about their whereabouts, but I kind of lost track, so I asked her today on FB. Instead, Heidi Thiemann, journalist for the Mitteldeutsche Zeitung, who also mentioned my egg project and I her article (see below) a while back (forgot to post it, dumb dumb), wrote to me that they are safe and sound with her now. She even sent me a pic, for which I am grateful (thanks, Heidi!).
I have not seen them for a half a year now, and fear I will never see them again (waaa!), and they look changed somehow. They look better, for one. More rounded out, more shapely, more like grown women instead of girls. They look clean, calm, content, and I am happy to post the picture. They are a year old now, since they were born last July. Happy birthday, girls! (Ise, forever showing her butt.)

A csirkék manapság már divatos kellékek is, lehet is tanulni tőlük a "kifutón" látható sikkes "tyúklépést". Ezt a képet Katona Kriszta küldte nekem, akinek a blogja amúgy itt látható: http://www.vividfluxury.blogspot.hu/. Sleek and streamlined. These are our chix. Itt egy lány látható több tyúkkal. Nem tudom a csirkék mennyire élvezték a photo shoot-ot, az egyik mintha menekülni akarna, de inkább a lány rosszul fogja. Nem egészen értem, hogy mi a funckiójuk a csirkéknek itt, de mindenesetre emelik a kép szinvonalát, ha nem a hangulatát... de persze, ez a minimum, amit elvárunk a csirkéktől.
Itt a nyár, és ilyenkor nem tudom abbahagyni a dinnyeevést. Ha visszanézzük a tavalyi blogot, ugyanezt találjuk: már szinte dinnyévé változtam a sok dinnye evéstől. Itt egy újabb kép. Most készült rólam, amint reggelizek. Jó volt. Túl jó. Már várom az ebédet.
